FLUORIDE CHEMICALS Manufacturing and Limits

In this paper from Centers for Disease Control and Prevention it claims to be safe, be your own judge for yourself.

“All of the fluoride chemicals used in the U.S. for water fluoridation, sodium fluoride, sodiumfluorosilicate, and fluorosilicic acid, are useful byproducts of the phosphate fertilizer industry. The manufacturing process produces two byproducts: (1) a solid, calcium sulfate (sheetrock,
CaSo4); and (2) the gases, hydrofluoric acid (HF) and silicon tetrafluoride (SiF4). A simplified explanation of the manufacturing process follows: Apatite rock, a calcium mineral found in central Florida, is ground up and treated with sulfuric acid, producing phosphoric acid and the
two byproducts, calcium sulfate and the two gas emissions. These gases are captured by product recovery units (scrubbers) and condensed into 23% fluorosilicic acid. Sodium fluoride and sodium fluorosilicate are made from this acid”…. Click here for the PDF download for the article : How is sodium flouride made by GOV

Here is another article to US Environmental Protection Agency and they also claim it is safe.

Here is their take on Health effects Quote:

” What are fluoride’s health effects?
Exposure to excessive consumption of fluoride over a lifetime may lead to increased likelihood of bone fractures in adults, and may result in effects on bone leading to pain and tenderness. Children aged 8 years and younger exposed to excessive amounts of fluoride have an increased chance of developing pits in the tooth enamel, along with a range of cosmetic effects to teeth.

The EPA has set a maximum safe limit standard of 4 mg/L or 4 ppm. However there are still additional source of leakage from quote

“Most water supplies contain some naturally occurring fluoride. Fluoride also enters drinking water in discharge from fertilizer or aluminum factories”

In other parts of the world India in the district of Nuapada they will have a much lower standard than  US EPA.

“The Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation maintains a web
based MIS. As per the MIS for year 2013-14, 987 drinking water
sources, out of a total of 8,605 sources tested in Nuapada
district, were found to be having fluoride content in excess of
1.5 mg per litre which is the danger level. This was the test result
‘Field Test Kits ’ based water testing.”
